Description: The largest storytelling festival in Canada and the only one that is truly international, featuring many First Nations (indigenous) performers.

Description: Two-day festival, featuring storytellers from Ottawa, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, and Kingston. Includes workshops for adults, concert, and children’s story swap.
Date: Second weekend in November, first if Remembrance Day (Nov. 11) it’s on weekend

Fort Edmonton Storytelling Festival
Description: The purpose of this outdoors, grassroots festival is to create awareness of the art of storytelling to a wider audience. The performances are geared for adult and family audiences. This is not a “children’s festival”, although it does include a couple of sessions for young listeners. The Festival includes morning workshops, a storytelling concert on Sunday evening, and up to five stages with ongoing performances during the afternoons. Each day ends with a story swap.
